Robert Mckinney

Robert "Bob" McKinney, Jr., age 90, of Manchester CT, passed away with family at his side on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Bob is survived by his son, Rob McKinney, grandson, Reed McKinney, granddaughter, Robin M. Staszak and her husband Scott, his two great-granddaughters Natalie and Audrey, sister Marge Bocchino, brother Russell McKinney and his wife Nancy. Bob was predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart Mary (Condon) McKinney and daughter Wendy McKinney. Bob was a life-long resident of Manchester and graduate of the Class of 1946. As an avid athlete, Bob ran cross-country and track, serving as Captain his senior year and leading the team to a State Championship. Bob was a long-time employee of SNETCO and loved spending his free time golfing, travelling the world with Mary, and vacationing at Cape Cod. Bob was a devoted and proud grandfather who delighted in attending his grandkids' sporting and school events and loved hosting backyard cookouts for his family. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 1:00pm, Concordia Lutheran Church, 40 Pitkin St., Manchester, CT. Burial will follow at East Cemetery.
