Robert D. Harrison died Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born in Manchester on March 10, 1928 the son of Albert W. Harrison Sr. and Irma (Johnson) Harrison. Bob was a lifelong resident of Manchester and had attended local schools. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and had served from 1950-1952. He was employed by the Town of Manchester and had retired from there in 1990. Bob is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Peter Heard and his grandson Matthew H. Heard, the greatest gift he ever received as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his mother and father and by two brothers, Albert W. Harrison Jr. and Jon M. Harrison. Bob had been an antique dealer most of his life having had an antique shop on Oakland Street in Manchester; Hartland, Vermont and West Townsend and Sturbridge, Massachusetts. There are no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside interment service with military honors, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in East Cemetery, Manchester Section (Old-D), please enter at the corner of Bissell Street and Harrison Street. The Watkins Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
