Robert H Farrand

Robert H. Farrand, 90, a lifelong north-ender in Manchester, beloved husband of the late Bertha (Hutchinson) Farrand died peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Manchester Manor. Bob was born on February 5, 1927 in Manchester son of the late Vincent and Sarah (Frazier) Farrand. He was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army. He was employed as a Barber for many years in Manchester and was owner of Bob's Barber Shop. Bob was an avid golfer and enjoyed his daily and weekly meetings with his buddies and the staffs at the local coffee shops and Shady Glen Dairy Stores. He is survived by his three children; Robert Farrand Jr. and Gerry Milkua of Andover, John Farrand and his wife Beverly of Coventry and Wendy Baillargeon and her husband David of Plymouth, CT, his grandson John Farrand Jr. of Chicago, IL, his sister Donna Penner of Erie, PA and his Black Lab and best friend Jake. Bob's family would like to thank the doctor's nurses and staff's at Manchester Manor and the Newington & North Haven V.A. Hospitals for their kind and compassionate care. Private burial in Townsend Cemetery, Andover will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the Donor's Choice.
