His business career was with New York Telephone Co., Honeywell Temperature Controls, and Honeywell Data Processing. He was an active bowler, volleyball and tennis player, square dancer, and health club member for many years. His sports activities in his early years carried over as he followed and supported all 3 children as they pursued their sports careers and college degrees. Richard was also an active member of the St. Bridget Church Community and was a Reader for 45 years. He is remembered for his calm demeanor, sense of humor, friendliness, and thoughtful leadership.
