Richard K. Nielsen Jr

Richard K. Nielsen Jr., 50 of Willington, loving husband of Patricia A. (Keane) Nielsen passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from injuries resulting from a motorcycle accident. Born in Manchester June 2, 1965, he was predeceased by his father Richard K. Nielsen Sr. and survived by his mother, Evelyn (Lewie) Nielsen of Enfield. He was raised in Bolton and has been a resident of Willington for the past 28 years. Richard was an auto mechanic employed at LaPointe Automotive, Hartford Road Manchester for the past 20 years where he worked closely with his boss and good friend, Pete Bushnell. Richard was an avid racing fan and enjoyed spending time with the TSU Racing team as well as all the people of CCFW. Always willing to help and always meeting new people, Richard and his favorite saying "to make a long story short" will be missed by many. In addition to his beloved wife, Patricia and his mother Evelyn, he is survived by two daughters, Megan Lynch and her fianc Eric Gorman and their children, Tyler and Brianna of Watertown, and Layla Emery of Lake Bluff, IL, a son, Shawn Lynch and his wife, Jackie of Vernon.
