Richard B. Moore

Richard Moore, 75, of Manchester CT, passed away on December 4th, 2022 in the comfort of his own home. Born June 12, 1947 to William E. Moore and Irene J. Moore, Richard grew up as a lifelong resident of Manchester, attending Manchester Schools. He graduated in 1967 and went on to be in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War between 1968 and 1970. Later, he went on to volunteer at the Town of Manchester Fire Department, HOSE CO. 4. He was employed by Carter Chevrolet for 20 years and by The Town of Manchester until his retirement in 2010. Richard enjoyed off Road Racing, Hill Climbs and Mud Boggs.
Richard was a member of the VFW 2046 in Manchester, a member of the Army Navy Club and the Washington Social Club of Manchester.
Richard is predeceased by is parents, William and Irene Moore, a brother, William D. Moore (Denny). He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Theresa Nee-Moore, his sister-in-law Claire Malone-Milosavljevic of Charlestown, MA, brother-in-law Stephen Malone of Somerville, MA. He leaves behind his cousin Craig Smith and his wife LauryAnn of Manchester, CT. Nephew John J. Nee and his wife Sherri of Oregon, Niece Kathy Nee-Mears of Oregon and several Grand Nephews and Grand Nieces.
Calling Hours will be held at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, located at 400 Main Street, Manchester CT 06040 from 10am till 1130am on Monday, December 12th, and a graveside service with Military Honors following at East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Wounded Warriors Foundation or Visiting Nurses of Vernon, located at 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon CT.
