Raymond Joseph Camire, 82 of East Windsor, formerly of Manchester, passed away Thursday April 20, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.
Ray was born in Biddeford, ME on September 20, 1934, son of the late Eaustache and Carmeline (Fournier) Camire. He was raised in Maine, served in the US Marine Corps Reserve, and came to Manchester in the late 1950's. Prior to retiring he was a machinist for the Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and the Hamilton Standard Companies. Ray was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed playing cards, going to the casinos with his buddies, vacationing in Maine, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his four children, Cheryl Rodriguez, Robert Camire, Raymond Craig Camire, and Lynn Moore, as well as eight grandchildren, Charles, Camille, Lauren, Elizabeth, Kyle, Alexander, Cory, and Alexis, and three great-grandchildren, Logan, Braeden, and Aveline.
Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Roland, and Normand, and his former wife, Elizabeth (McCluskey) Camire.
Visiting hours for family and friends are Saturday, April 22, from 2 PM to 4 PM, with Words of Remembrance at 4 PM, at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester.
