Rachel L. Hudson

Ralph Hudson, 81 of Manchester, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at home with his family at his side. He was born on September 9, 1933 in the District of Columbia, son of the late John F. and Virginia (Ludlow) Hudson. He proudly served his country for 20 years with the U.S. Air Force during Korea and Vietnam and was also a Ham Radio operator. He has resided in Manchester since 1992, previously living in San Antonio, TX. Ralph was employed for several years as an Electronic Engineer at Paradyne Electronics in Florida. He is survived by his loving family, a daughter, Robin Cole of Manchester, a son, Robert Berry of South Carolina, a brother, John Hudson of Rockville, MD, four grandchildren, Lisa Marie Luffsey, Jason Bernardy, Christina Casserino, Jessica Cole, eleven great- grandchildren, two nephews and a niece. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Hudson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester, with a calling hour from 10 am until service time at 11 am. Private burial with military honors will be in State Veterans' Cemetery, Middletown at the convenience of the family.
