Priscilla Ann "Penny" (Russak) Dorsey, 73 of Manchester, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Manchester Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Norwich, CT on December 28, 1942, daughter of the late John S. and Stella (Twerdy) Russak. She was raised in Coventry and graduated from Eastern Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Penny had been retired for the past ten years and spent her time as an avid gardener and artist.
She is survived by a daughter and son, Lena M. Hickey and her fianc John Mierzejewski, and John D. Hickey, all of Rockville; her grandchildren, Shayne Dechamps of Winsted and DreamAnna Hickey of Rockville; her sister, Debbie Guerra and her husband Larry of Tolland. Penny was predeceased by her two year old son, Thomas Irwin Hickey.
Visiting hours for family and friends are Monday, Nov. 21, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Union Congregational Church, 3 Elm Street, Rockville. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
