Peter Glenn Borofsky, 67 of East Hartford, loving husband for 46 years of Susan J. (Hulser) Borofsky, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday October 7, 2015.
Peter was born in Hartford on March 31, 1948, son of the late Peter V. and Frances (Lagan) Borofsky. He was raised in Hartford, graduated from South Catholic High School, and received an Associate's Degree from Manchester Community College where he met his wife Susan. Peter served proudly as a member of the Army's 25th Infantry in Vietnam.
Prior to taking an early retirement, Peter had worked for twenty-three years at the Aetna Insurance Company, and worked in the Insurance industry until retiring from the Mass Mutual Insurance Company. He was an avid golfer and was a league player at the East Hartford Golf Course.
Peter enjoyed his time with family vacationing often in both Maine and Cape Cod where he had the privilege to watch his son Adam pitch in the Cape Cod Baseball League. While at home Peter cherished his time with his wife Susan and their Saturday breakfast dates. Peter was a life-long sports enthusiast who passed his passion for sports and life lessons learned through those endeavors to his two sons for which he was most proud of their accomplishments as both athletes and leaders in the community. Grandpa was the title Peter was most affectionate of and his time with his grandchildren was his most precious.
