Pete M Bushnell Sr

Pete M. Bushnell Sr. 75 of Manchester beloved husband of the late Carol (Starr) Bushnell passed away peacefully Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital with his loving family at his side. Pete was born in Manchester, March 2, 1940 son of the late Frederick Forbes and Dorothy (Warner) Bushnell and was a lifelong resident. Pete worked for numerous car dealerships as an automobile mechanic for more than 45 years, including the former Cardinal Buick of Manchester and recently was a wrecker driver for Bob's Auto Body of Manchester. He enjoyed spending time with his family and became an avid drag racing enthusiast for his son and two granddaughters. Pete is survived by his son, Peter M. Bushnell Jr., his wife, Deanne and their daughters, Sarah Bushnell and Heather Bushnell of Manchester, a brother, Paul Bushnell and his wife, Debbie of Coventry and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Lynn Bushnell and two brothers, David Bushnell and Richard Bushnell. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016 at 11 am at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center St. Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery. Family and friends may call Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
