Paul L. Beaulieu, 85, of East Hartford, husband to the late Lorelle (Hutton) Beaulieu, passed away peacefully Friday, February 23, 2018. He was born in Willimantic on May 13, 1932 to Leopold and Clementine (Desjardins) Beaulieu. Paul grew up in Willimantic and attended local Schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country proudly during the Korean War. He had been a member and past Chief of the South Windham Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed many outdoor activities but most of all he loved spending time with family and friends. He later relocated to East Hartford and was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in East Hartford.
Paul leaves behind his two daughters, Judith Beaulieu and her wife Marie Dickinson of South Windham and Marsha Corso of North Carolina. He also leaves four step-children Deborah Malboeuf and her wife Christine Browning of Georgia, Kenneth Malboeuf Jr. of Manchester, Michele Malboeuf of East Hartford, Richard Malboeuf of California; six grandchildren Lorelle, Kasie, Rebecca, Joshua, Timothy, and Hannah; two great-grand sons; and many numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves two brothers Albert Beaulieu and his wife Rose of Willimantic and John Beaulieu and his wife Vevia of Kansas. Paul is also predeceased by his two sisters Imelda Bastien and Dolores Pudlo.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 9-10 AM at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St, Manchester followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM celebrated at Our Lady Of Peace Campus of St. Edmund Campion, 370 May Rd, East Hartford, CT 06118. Inurnment with military honors will follow in Buckland Cemetery, Manchester.
