Patricia Carpenter Nivison, 87, of Colchester, Connecticut, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Middlesex Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Patricia, also known as Pat and Patti, will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Albers (Klaus), Robin Balletto (Dave), and Cheryl Knowles (Mike); her sister, Sylvia Zaches; three grandchildren, Allison (Craig), Kate and Alex; three great-grandchildren, and her nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Patricia was predeceased by her mother, Eleanor Dyer; father, Frank Carpenter, and siblings, Roger Carpenter and Linda Carpenter Ryder, and more than 20 aunts and uncles.

Patricia enjoyed a life of family adventures, line dancing, watercolor painting, and all things arts and crafts. She loved animals, especially cats, and also enjoyed her time down in Florida, where she finished her over 30-year career at the United States Postal Service in Vero Beach.

Calling Hours will be on Thursday, January 22nd, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, located at 400 Main Street, Manchester, CT. Family and Friends will gather on Friday, January 23rd, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00am at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home for a service from 10am till 10:30am with burial to follow at East Cemetery, located at 220 East Center Street, Manchester CT.
