Patricia (Syphers) Bain, 78, of Andover beloved wife of the late Kenneth J Bain Sr. passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Windham Hospital. Patricia was born in Manchester, March 23, 1939 daughter of the late Franklin F. and Gladys E. (Rich) Syphers and had resided in Andover since 1965. She graduated from Manchester High School Class of 1957 and continued her education at Eastern CT. State College. Patricia worked as a Para Professional at RHAM Middle School, Hebron and in the school district at the high school and middle school from 1982 until her retirement. She also worked at the Andover Public Library for 20 years. She was an active member of Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Manchester. She was a former member of the Andover Democratic Town Committee, a volunteer and Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scouts Leader and 4-H Leader. She was also a former board member of the Community Voice Channel, an active community volunteer and former member of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra Chorale. Patricia is survived by her loving family her daughter, Elizabeth A. "Beth" Card and her husband, William E. Card Jr. of Scotland, CT, her son, Kenneth J. Bain Jr. and his wife, Yvonne of Hebron, six grandchildren, David Attardo and his wife, Leigh Ann; Heather Attardo and her fiance Todd Michels, Jacqueline Kitchen and her husband, Nathan Kitchen, Jessica Stack and her husband, Robert Stack Jr.; Samantha Card and Benjamin Card and two great-grandchildren, Alexia Kitchen and Robert Gerard Stack III. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, James Syphers. Patricia's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Vanderman Place in Willimantic for their kind and compassionate care over the last few months. A Memorial Service will be celebrated, Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 10am at Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints 30 Woodside Street Manchester. Burial will be private in Townsend Cemetery, Andover. There are no calling hours. Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
