Pasquale ''Pat'' Cafro

Pasquale "Pat" "Oscar" Cafro, 88, of Bolton beloved husband of the late Margaret A. (Backus) Cafro and father of the late Mary-Ann Morrone, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at his home with his family at his side. Pat was born in Hartford, September 5, 1925, son of the late Edward and Edith (Farr) Cafro and resided in Bolton since 1953. He served his country proudly with the U. S. Navy during WWII. Prior to retiring, Pat worked as an automobile mechanic and inspector for the former Moriarty Brothers of Manchester and the State of Connecticut. He was an avid gardener and had a love for antique clocks and stain glass. Also known as Oscar, he is survived by his loving family, Donna Phillips and her husband, Robert of Valatie, NY; Thomas Cafro and his wife, Beth of Columbia; Ann-Marie Cullen and her husband, Larry of Havre De Grace, MD; Daniel Cafro and his wife, Mary of Hebron; Robert Morrone of Ellington; five special grandchildren Alisha Phillips, Adam Cafro, Tyler Cafro, Alissa Cafro, Charles Woods, a sister, Theresa Chagnot of Glastonbury and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by two brothers, Philip Cafro and Ralph Cafro. His family would like to thank VITAS for their excellent care they provided to him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10am at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. Manchester, followed with burial in St. James Cemetery, Manchester with military honors. Family and friends may call Tuesday, August 5, from 5-8pm at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester.
