Pamela Dorothy Marinelli, 91 of Manchester, formerly of East Hartford, died Saturday September 12, 2015 at a local convalescent home.
Pamela was born in East Hartford on November 30, 1923, daughter of Victor and Mary (D'Addario) Marinelli. She was raised in East Hartford, served in the US Army WACS during World War II, and prior to retiring in 2002 she was the bookkeeper for the former Newman Lincoln- Mercury automotive dealership in East Hartford for over forty years. She then moved to Manchester in 2005.
In her earlier years she was an opera singer in many plays in the Hartford area and enjoyed performing on stage. Her greatest joy was her family including her nieces and nephews.
She is survived a brother, George Marinelli of Port St. Lucie, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by five brothers, Albert, Joseph, Anthony, John, and Victor.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 11:00 AM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester with burial to follow in the Hillstown Road Veterans Cemetery in Manchester. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the Leukemia Society of America.
