Norman D. "Norm" Livingston, 59, of Mansfield Center and formerly of Coventry and Manchester, husband of Pamela (Blatchley) Livingston, died unexpectedly Saturday May 24, 2014. Norm was born December 14, 1954 in Landstuhl, Germany, where his father was stationed with the U.S. Army. He was the son of the late Norman D. Livingston Sr. and Ellen S. (Smith) Livingston. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War; he was a Past Commander of the American Legion Post # 102 in Manchester and a current member of the American Legion Post # 52 in Coventry. He enjoyed his experience sky diving, listening to Classic Rock, riding his Harley and going on charity rides; he was an avid hunter and loved boating and waterskiing on Coventry Lake. Norm had worked for Coca-Cola in East Hartford as a Truck Driver and he had been an active member of the Teamsters Union Local # 1035. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, son, Brett A. Livingston and his fiance Natalie M. Beckwith both of Ledyard, daughter Lorene N. Livingston of Mansfield Center, his brother Richard Livingston of Higganum and East Hampton, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Georgiana E. McGuiness. Calling hours will be held Sunday June 1, 2014 from 2-5 PM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be held Monday at graveside at 2 pm with Military Honors in the Veteran's Section of the East Cemetery in Manchester.
