Nicholas N. Scata

Nicholas N. "Nicky" Scata, 59, of South Windsor and formerly of Vernon, died Thursday August 20, 2015 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Nicky was born February 10, 1956 in Hartford, son of the late Nunzio and Marilynne (Peatie) Scata, he grew up in Vernon attending local schools and graduated from Rockville High School. He was an avid Yankees fan, a motorcycle and car enthusiast, he enjoyed fishing, he loved his family and spending time with them and was always willing to help anyone he could. He is survived by his beloved sister Constance "Connie" Scata of Bloomfield, his dear friend Terrance Fisher of South Windsor and many other close friends. Funeral services will be held Monday August 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
