Nathan O. Gladden

Nathan O. "Nate" Gladden, 38, of Manchester, loving husband of 20 years and best friend since the fifth grade to Christina "Tina" (Kvart) Gladden passed away suddenly on Monday, February 15, 2016. He was born in Rockville on August 27, 1977 son of David Gladden of Canterbury and the late Gale (Leatherdale) Currie. Nathan was raised in Rockville, attended local schools and was a graduate of N.E.T.T.T.S in Somers. Currently he was employed at the Goodwill Store in Manchester. He enjoyed writing poetry, listening to music and he was known as a talented artist. Nathan was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and he loved and looked forward to going to area auctions with his Dad every Tuesday. Nathan always made himself available to help people. He continues that legacy by giving the gift of life as he is an organ and tissue donor. In addition to his wife and father he is survived by his two children; Kirsten A. Gladden and Skye M. Gladden both of Manchester, his two brothers, Christopher Gladden of Japan and Jeremy Gladden of California, his sister, Rebecca Shapard and her husband David of Manchester and his stepmother Elaine Gladden of Canterbury. Other survivors include his father and mother-in-law, Albert and Rose Kvart of Vernon, his brother-in-law, Eric Kvart and his wife Nicki of Framingham, MA and several nephews and one niece. All are welcome to attend a Celebration of His Life on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 12:30-2:30 pm at the Rockville Church of the Nazarene, 47 East St. Rockville, CT. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Gladden Children Education Memorial Fund, c/o United Bank, 241 Broad St. Manchester, CT 06040.
