Nancy W. Mccurry

Nancy Walsh McCurry, 86, daughter of Florence and Walter Walsh died peacefully. Nancy was born and raised in Manchester. She taught in Manchester for 25 years, and was loved and adored by her students and fellow teachers. She was a lifelong member of Center Congregational Church in Manchester.
She is predeceased by her husband, Samuel McCurry and daughter Sandra McCurry. She is survived by her daughter Lori Schofer (husband Cliff) and their children, Daniel (wife Lynn and their children Aubrey, Jolie and Henry), Anna and Nathan and her son Myles (wife Marge) and their daughters Lindsey Nelson (husband Klye and daughter Rory) and Courtney. Nancy was a friend to many and loved by all. She loved her children and grandchildren sacrificially and deeply. She was an avid card player and volunteer. She loved adventure and would travel often. She could be found in the kitchen baking something to share with those she cared for.
Calling Hours will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Holmes Watkins Funeral Home, located at 400 Main St. Manchester, CT 06040. The Funeral will be Friday, October 18, 2024 at Center Congregational Church at 11 Center St. Manchester at 10:00am with a private burial immediately following. Due to construction at the Town Hall next door parking will be limited. Please carpool and allow time to locate a parking spot nearby.
