Nancy A. Fernance

Nancy A. Fernance, 66, of Manchester, beloved mother to Melissa and David Fernance and his fiancee Kate Choromanski and longtime partner of Art Thompson, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 9, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hartford on November 5, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ivy Croxford. Nancy was a dedicated and involved member of VFW Post 2046 Ladies Auxiliary and played in the Setback League since 1981. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, love of family and friends, and especially for being "Yammie" to her cherished grandson David. In addition to her children, grandson and Art, she is survived by her brother, Steve Croxford, her brother, Gary Croxford and his wife, Edie, her sister, Glenda Meyer and her husband, Paul, her brother, Mark Croxford and many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of Nancy's Life will be held Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 12 pm at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester, with burial to follow in East Cemetery Manchester. Family and friends may call Thursday, prior to the service from 10 am to 12 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or the American Cancer Society.
