Anyone who knew Nancy knew that she was far and away Elvis Presleys number one fan. She would always swoon a bit when talking about The King. She was able to see him in concert several times. Nancy loved collecting Elvis memorabilia and attending impersonator shows. Her biggest dream was to visit Graceland in her lifetime which she did with a host of her family members for her birthday in 2018. She also enjoyed a very special trip to Hawaii with her immediate family. In her adult life, as a Connecticut resident, she worked as a Dietary Aide at The Meadows Convalescent Home in Manchester. Nancy loved to do crossword puzzles and to eat out for breakfast and dinner with her friends and family. Fellow patrons and staff would ask where shed been if she missed a day or two at breakfast. If she was home eating breakfast she loved to watch the many birds also eating outside the kitchen window. During her years in Florida she was very much like the Mayor of her condominium complex. She often sat outside (when she wasnt in the pool) and knew everybody and everything that was going on. Her caring spirit would always ask her friends and neighbors how their families and loved ones were. Nancy genuinely cared about the welfare of others. Nancy was a woman of faith who attended church in Florida and had a second baptism in the ocean. She would often tell people that shed pray for them. She was a loyal and devoted friend that always believed in doing the right thing. Nancys greatest joy was her family. She loved her family beyond all else. She loved to watch the faces of her nieces and nephews as shed give them a twenty dollar bill. She loved holidays and birthdays and any celebration where shed be surrounded by her family. Her family lovingly called her "Nancy Pants" or "Fancy Nancy" as terms of endearment. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends and anyone that knew her. Her laugh and her big smile will remain in everyones heart and memory. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Nancy's memory to St. Jude.
