Maurice J. Gregoire

Maurice J. Gregoire, 96, formerly of East Hartford, CT, husband of the late Helen E. (Hogan) Gregoire, died Monday, January 15, 2018 at a local convalescent home.
He was born in the Bronx, NY on May 18, 1921, son of Maurice and Lillian (Soldati) Gregoire. He was raised in New York, served in the Army Air Force during World War II, and came to East Hartford in the early 1960's. Prior to retiring Maurice was a computer programmer for Brescome Distribution Company and was very proud of volunteering for over twenty five years at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Newington.
He is survived by two daughters and a son, Geraldine Scoville and her husband Wayne of Vernon, Maureen Gregoire of Vernon, and Peter Gregoire and his wife Teresa of Largo, FL; eight grandchildren, Susan Scoville, Kathryn Desrosiers, Matthew Lescoe, Peter Lescoe, Bethany Lescoe, Aleksander Gregoire, Kristofer Gregoire, Casey Gregoire, and eleven great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held in the East Cemetery in Manchester. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the CT. Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington, CT 06111.
