Maryann Markham

MaryAnn Markham died Thursday July 10, 2014 of Alzheimer's Disease. She was born to Warren and Grace Markham in Manchester, CT. After graduating from Manchester High School, she married Robert Edwards and raised four children, each of whom could read proficiently before attending Kindergarten. MaryAnn passed on her grit, determination and fierce sense of independence to her children, letting them be free to make discoveries and mistakes. She loved her family and cared deeply for her friends. MaryAnn attended evening school and later was employed by and retired from the State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services as a tax examiner. MaryAnn's vivid blue eyes were one of her many striking features you would notice if you met her. She liked to look and feel young with her clothing being silly (themed socks for each holiday) and stylish. "Let me help you with that" was how she generously gave of herself. MaryAnn leaves behind her two siblings Warren Markham and Audrey Markham. She will be missed by her daughter Laura Webb and her daughter Jessica; daughter Charlene Minicucci, her husband Charlie and their daughters, Samantha and Ashley; son Robert Edwards, his wife Joyce and their children Camilla and Paul; son Andrew Edwards and his wife Amy and their children Sophia and Cole. In addition to her parents, MaryAnn was predeceased by a granddaughter Lori Edwards and fianc Craig Smith. Craig's children, Kim, Kris and Karen and their families will also be saddened by MaryAnn's death. MaryAnn was 75 years young. A graveside service will be held Tuesday July 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM in division E of the Westminster Section of the East Cemetery in Manchester.
