Mary E. Krysiak

Mary E. (Tumicki) Krysiak passed away peacefully on September 11, 2021 at the age of 95. She was born on March 8, 1926 in Norwich, CT, the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys Tumicki. Mary graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1943 and married her husband Thadeus "Ted" Krysiak in 1944. They then settled in Manchester, CT where they raised their six children. Mary loved flowers and enjoyed tending to her gardens for many years. She also enjoyed making floral arrangements and wreaths to gift to friends and family and decorated the home with them. She was a collector of Depression glass and enjoyed going to tag sales looking for her next piece. Mary is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Ted and her brothers Joe Tumicki and Eddie Tumicki and is survived by her sister Arlene Hartmann of Uncasville. She is additionally survived by her four sons and their spouses: Paul Krysiak & Kathy Barnes, David & Carol Krysiak, Charles & Michele Krysiak, Tom & Sherri Krysiak, and two daughters: Nanci Krysiak and Carla Krysiak. She has 8 grandchildren: Michelle, Tyler, Krystina, Kristen, Lindsay, Ryan, Sean, and Jared; 7 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild born September 9th. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at St Bridget's Church, 80 Main St. Manchester, CT. Burial will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester, CT.
