Mary Jean

Mary "Cookie" "(Steckewicz) Jean, 87, of Manchester, loving wife of over 59 years to Gerald F. Jean, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Crestfield Rehab. Center. She was born on May 15, 1930 in Candia, New Hampshire one of ten children of the late George and Mary Steckewicz. Prior to her retirement, Mary worked with her husband in the family business, Eagle Machine Inc. of South Windsor. Mary enjoyed going to Foxwoods with family and friends and she was an avid sports enthusiast. She was a golfer, tennis player and a champion archer in her younger years. In addition to her husband Gerald, she is survived by her two sisters; Julie Bourgeois of Candia, NH and Frances Coleman of Cupertino, NH., numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her parents Mary was predeceased by seven siblings; Anne McDowell, Anastasia Griffin, Doris Maddocks, Gerri Stitzgerald, Charles Steckewicz, Lewis Steckewicz and Frank Stark. Private burial will be in Hillstown Road Veteran's Cemetery, Manchester at the convenience of the family. There are no visitation hours.
