Mary F. Genovesi

Mary F. (Cyran ) Genovesi, 84, beloved wife for over 60 years of Donald S. Genovesi passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 after a brief illness. Mary was born on May 26, 1934 in Chicopee Falls, MA, one of nine children of the late Vincent and Mary Cyran. In her earlier years Mary was a secretary at the Springfield Armory where she met the love of her life Donald. She later was employed by the Department of the Navy at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. She always thought her greatest job in life was being a loving wife, dedicated mother and devoted grandmother. Mary was a longtime Communicant of St. Bridget Church in Manchester. She enjoyed playing golf, going bowling and Mary was a longtime member of the Goodspeed Opera House. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the UConn Women's Basketball Team. Mary liked to read, complete crossword puzzles, doing word search and playing Phase 10 and dominos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her beloved husband Donald, she leaves her three loving daughters; Diane Manning and her husband Peter of New York, NY, Maryann (Mitzi) Pallotta and her husband Michael of Arlington, MA and Lynn Lynch of Coventry and her friend Bob Bycholski of Manchester, CT, her two grandchildren; Katie (Pallotta) Waitt and her husband Nicholas of Arlington, MA and Michael Pallotta and his wife Jessica of Burlington, MA. Mary also leaves her two sisters; Alfreda Levakis of Chicopee, MA and Helen Lame and her husband Frank of Lady Lake, FL, her sister-in-law Lucille Genovesi of Ellington and several nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents Mary was predeceased by her son-in-law Frank Lynch and her siblings; Genevieve M. Cyran, Walter V. Cyran, Stella G. Baclawski, Isabelle Rokosz, Edward W. Cyran and Jane Wojtowicz. Calling hours will be held at Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home, 400 Main St in Manchester on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bridget Church 80 Main St. in Manchester at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 25, 2018. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Bridget School, 74 Main St. Manchester, CT 06042.
