Mary Frances "Fran" Dickenson, 97, of Manchester and Bolton passed away peacefully on February 20, 2017. She was predeceased by her loving husband Willard B. Dickenson and by her parents: Harry and Hannah (Kingsbury) Elliott and siblings Harry, Margaret and infant sister Evelyn.
Fran lived a long and happy life. She volunteered for the USO during WW II and worked briefly for Travelers in the early 1940's before meeting and marrying Willard. They enjoyed forty five years of marriage at their home in Bolton, spending much of their free time traveling the world and hosting picnics and dinners with family and friends. She was a wonderful hostess and her family fondly remembers her 4th of July picnics, games of shuffleboard and Yahtzee, and swims down at the lake. Fran was a long time member of the Second Congregational Church in Manchester.
Fran is survived by her nephews and niece: Gene (wife Gail) Dickenson, David, Barry, John Simpson and Karen (husband Geoffrey) Woodward and grand nephews and niece : Kevin, Bill, Sarah, and Matthew. As well as her dear friend and neighbor Debbie Shea.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
