Mary Culleton

February 12, 1925 — February 26, 2015

Mary (Kelly) Culleton, 90 years of age, beloved wife of the late Christopher (Sonnie) Culleton, passed away Thursday February 26, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford with her family by her side. She was born February 12, 1925 in Wexford, Ireland, daughter of Daniel and Mary (Walsh) Kelly, came to the United States in 1953, and has resided in Manchester since 1964. She was a devout communicant of St. Bridget Church, a longtime member of the former St. Bridget Rosary Society, very active in the annual church bazaar, a member of the Manchester Senior Center, and a member of the Irish American Home Society in Glastonbury. For the last few months of her life, she lived at The Hearth in Glastonbury. Mary is survived by her loving family; her six daughters, Eileen Greene and her husband Philip, Angela Trent and her husband Jim, Noreen Botticello and Thomas, Patricia Thomas and her husband John, Christine Radocchia and her husband Jack, Colleen Canny and her husband John; her eleven grandchildren, Meagan Greene, Christopher Greene, Derik Trent, Dr. Amanda Botticello and her husband James Nyez, Bridget Botticello Blake and her husband Scott, Michael Botticello, Brendan Thomas, Blake Thomas, Julie Radocchia Peller and her husband Jason, Nicole Radocchia, Christopher Radocchia, and Kevin Canny; her five great-grandchildren, Sofia Nyez, Samuel Nyez, Adam Blake, Charlotte Blake, and Noah Peller. Mary recently enjoyed a gala celebration of her 90th birthday surrounded by all four generations. She is also survived by a brother, James Kelly, and her sister Ita Edwards, nieces, nephews, & their families here, in Ireland, and the U.K. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 2 at 10:30 am at St. Bridget Church, 80 Main St. Manchester. Mourners are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call Sunday from 2 - 5pm at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester.
