Marlene A Jones

January 29, 1939 — May 30, 2015

Marlene A. (Hart) Jones, 76, of Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Jones, died Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Florida. She was born January 29, 1939 in Hartford, daughter of the late Mary (Milek) Hart. She was raised in New Britain and was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1957. Marlene was employed by the former Hartford Times before becoming bookkeeper for the former Dan's Automotive in Manchester. She was an avid duckpin bowler, gardener and she enjoyed NASCAR racing, playing softball and poker. She loved to read and doing latch hook. Marlene is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Kozikis and Perchell Jackson of Vernon and Michelle DeMarco and her husband Tyler of Southington, her son, Michael Jones and Kimberly Kopacz of Amston and her eight beloved grandchildren; Christina (Kozikis) Nieves and her husband David, and Heather and Sarah Kozikis, Alicia, Shannon, Kara, Amanda Tierney and Raychelle DeMarco, one great-grandson Aiden Nieves and her best friend Lynn Griffin. In addition to her husband and mother, she was predeceased by her brother Ronald Hart. Memorial calling hours will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at Watkins Funeral Home, 142 E. Center Street, Manchester, from 4-6 pm with a service at 6 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association of CT, 45 Ash St, E.
