It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter Marissa Isabel Garcia, age 8, of Manchester. She went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 15, 2017 surrounded by her family at the Connecticut Children's Hospital in Hartford. She continues to bless others and her love lives on with her gift of organ donation. Marissa was born on July 16, 2008 in Rockville, the beloved daughter of Dennis J. and Ann (Lachapelle) Garcia of Manchester. Marissa was growing up in Manchester and currently was a member of the third grade class at the Odyssey Community School. Marissa always had a hug for everyone and a smile that would light up the room. She was happy to be helpful to every family or classmate, she was loved by many. Her passions were drawing and painting as well as dancing and music. The Garcias believe she is dancing in heaven with Jesus and all the Angels. In addition to her parents Marissa leaves her big brother Matthew J. Garcia, her grandparents; Marcelina Lachapelle of Manchester and Mirta and Carlos Perez of Newington, three aunts; Diane Mleczek of Laveen, AZ, Lisa Giallanza of Chandler, AZ and Elaine Perez of New Britain, her two uncles; Peter Lachapelle of South Windsor and Carlos Perez Jr. of Tampa, FL, several cousins, her Trinity Covenant Church family and many wonderful friends.
