Marion Risley

Marion (Malon) Risley, 89, of Manchester, CT beloved wife for 67 years to the late Arthur L. Risley, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Waterbury, CT on April 24, 1928, Marion was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ruth (Miller) Malon.

Marion was a graduate of Manchester High School and later in life received her LPN Degree and worked as a nurse for 27 years at Hartford Hospital where she continued to serve as a volunteer for several years after her retirement. Marion was also an active member of the Manchester Church of Christ for many years.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Bruce A. Risley, a daughter, Ruth M. Davila, sisters, Doris Cinciva, Adelia Raleigh and a brother, Frederick Malon. Marion is survived by two daughters, Nancy Madrak and her husband, Warren of Broad Brook, CT and Leslie Risley of North Carolina. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and her church family.

Memorial contributions may be made, In Memory of Marion, to the Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC) www.macc-ct.org . A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00am at the Manchester Church of Christ, 595 Tolland Turnpike Manchester. Burial will follow in East Cemetery Manchester.
