Marilyne N. Mcginley

Marilyne N. McGinley, 77, of Vernon, died peacefully Friday August 1, 2014 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born August 5, 1936 in San Francisco, CA. She attended local schools and earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degree. Marilyne moved to Vernon in 1971. She had a wide variety of interests and taught Adult Education Classes at Rockville High School for many years. Marilyne loved to sing and play piano. She participated in plays and choir while attending Unitarian Universalist Meeting House in Manchester. Marilyne was the loving mother of two children, her son Alexander B. McGinley and his wife Qi Liu of Torrington, her daughter Katherine L. Gagnon and her husband Keith of Lakewood Ranch, FL. She also leaves three grandchildren: Julian McGinley, Kyle Gagnon, and Keira Gagnon. She was close friends with her caregiver Margaret Trucker. Graveside services will be held Wednesday August 6, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Valley Falls Cemetery, Valley Falls Rd. in Vernon. There are no calling hours.
