Marilyn Joan Klotzer, beloved wife of William Klotzer passed away August 2, 2017. She died in her cherished home where she was raised as a child and later resided as a spouse, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marilyn was born August 14, 1939 in Manchester, CT, daughter of the late Raymond and Cecelia Laine. She was employed in a variety of positions throughout her life, including school crossing guard, office manager and most recently as an attendance clerk at Manchester High School. Yet it is as a mother and grandmother that she would most want to be remembered. Her family simply meant the world to her. Her love, caring and support were unconditional. She will be missed by us all. As her health declined, she maintained her connection to family and friends through Facebook. Besides her family, her other loves were lighthouses at the seashore, music and baking. She also was a devoted parent to many pets throughout her life, most recently her beloved cat Buffy. She is survived by her daughter, Kathi Chasse, her son Jeffrey and his wife Linda, her son Douglas and his wife Mary, her grandchildren Sean, Jessie, Joshua, Zachary, Sarah and Celia. She also leaves behind her very precious great granddaughter, Dorothy, who was a source of great joy. Besides her husband and parents she was predeceased by her sister, Jeanne, brother, Butch and her beloved grandson, Benjamin. The family would like to thank her special caregiver Rose. Memorial calling hours will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5-7 PM at the Watkins Funeral Home 142 E. Center St. Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10 am at Saint James Church 896 Main St. Manchester. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial donations may be made to Protectors of Animals, 144 Main St. E. Hartford, CT 06118. To leave a message of condolence for her family, please visit
