Margarita Chaparro

Margarita C. "Rica" Chaparro, 55, of Hartford, beloved mother of Janyda Nicole Rivera and Joshua Nicolas Rivera, died peacefully, Wednesday Dec. 7, 2016 at her home with her family at her side after a long and courageous battle with Cancer. Rica was born Sept. 22, 1961 in Hartford, daughter of the late Matildo Chaparro and Sally Silvia (Bazzano) Chaparro, she grew up in a large, loving family of five brothers and a sister and graduated June 19, 1981 with a Business Degree from the Stone School of Business. Rica was loved by many and had a heart of gold. When diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, she remained brave, an iron-willed woman with the biggest most beautiful smile even through her final months. In addition to her loving children she is survived by her siblings, Matildo, Andre, Rosemary, Fernando, Johnny and Angelo as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Family and friends may gather Sunday Dec. 11, 2016 from 1- 4 PM for visitation at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester with a Prayer service at 2:30 PM. Burial will be private.
