Margaret E. Maiorca

Margaret E. (McCaughey) Maiorca, 95, of Manchester, loving wife of the late John J. Maiorca Sr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at home with her family at her side. Margaret was born on March 8, 1920 in Manchester, daughter of the late Francis and Margaret (Pirie) McCaughey. She attended local schools and had been a lifelong resident of Manchester. Margaret was a wonderful baker and enjoyed; sewing, knitting, crocheting, crewel and embroidery. She is survived by her daughter, B.J. Maiorca of Manchester with whom she made her home, her son, John J. Maiorca Jr. and his wife Betty of Manchester, her granddaughter, Michelle Maiorca and her significant other James Tyler of Manchester and many nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband and parents Margaret was predeceased by her sister, Elaine McCaughey and her three brothers; George, Francis and Edward McCaughey. Private burial will be in East Cemetery, Manchester. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bolton Veterinary Hospital or to the American Cancer Society.
