Marcia A Hanson

Marcia A. Hanson (Marci), 66, of Manchester, CT, passed away Sunday May 15, 2022 after a short
illness.
She was born March 6, 1956 in Manchester, to Herbert E. Hanson and Peggy A. Hanson (Landon). She
recently retired from Walgreens after twelve years of service with the company. Her years of
employment also included Electric Boat in Groton, the Connecticut Water Company and SNET. Anybody
who knew Marci realized the dedicated hard worker that she truly was. She loved her family; her
friends and was proud of her country. She also loved her animals, having been an avid horseback rider
as a teenager; always taking in stray cats and feeding a feral colony for many years.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister, Holly MacDonald of Bolton; her nephews, Christopher
Levesque of PA and Jonathan MacDonald of Bailey, Colorado and her niece, Elizabeth MacDonald of
Manchester; as well as a wealth of extended family from Chaplin (the Farm) and special friends, Carole
Wilson, Pamela Slocum, Debbie Higgins and Tina Anderson. She was predeceased by her sister, Cindy
Levesque of PA. She also leaves to mourn her cherished cats, and two dogs that adored her. The Green
Bay Packers have also lost a huge fan!
As requested by Marci, a private service will be held for family and friends and there will be no calling
hours.
