Malcolm E. ''Mac'' Anderson

May 29, 1941 — January 21, 2017

Malcolm E. "Mac" Anderson, 75, of Broad Brook, formerly of Manchester and South Windsor, beloved husband to Beverly (Burger) Anderson, passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Rockville General Hospital.
Mac was born in Hartford, May 29, 1941, son of the late Gilbert and Doris (Rolston) Anderson. Mac was the owner/operator of M.E. Anderson Millwork Company in South Windsor before retiring in 1991. He was a former President of the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce and a member of both the South Windsor and Manchester Rotary Clubs. He was also an avid golfer, an avid bowler, and loved playing cards, especially bridge.
In addition to his devoted wife of 46 years, he is survived by his loving family; son, Mark Anderson of Broad Brook, daughter, Charlotte Anderson of West Newton, MA, nephews, nieces, cousins and their families. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his two brothers, Gilbert and Russell Anderson.
Family and friends are invited to attend memorial calling hours at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main Street Manchester, CT, Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 1-3 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow at 3 pm. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Mandell Center for Multiple Sclerosis, c/o St. Francis Foundation 95 Woodland Street Hartford, CT 06105.
