Lynelle A. (Brown) Knauff, 75, of Manchester, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 6, 1948, in Manchester, Lynelle was the cherished daughter of the late John Brown and Shirley (Freeburn) Brown.
Lynelle was a proud graduate of Manchester High School, class of 1967. Following her passion for the arts, she moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she attended Kendall School of Design. It was there that she met the love of her life, Thomas Knauff. On June 17, 1972, they began their lifelong journey together, returning to Manchester to build their home and family.
Lynelle had a deep love for painting, particularly of dolphins, which reflected her admiration for the ocean. She and Tom were active members of the Concordia Lutheran Church, where they served in the youth group, and they sang in the choir for many years. Lynelle's creativity extended to making beautiful floral arrangements for church events, bringing joy to all who knew her. A lover of the sea, she found great happiness in sailing to Martha's Vineyard with family and friends.
