Kevin Winchell, 44 of Manchester beloved son of Joan (Szrom) Winchell of Manchester and the late Donald E. Winchell Sr. passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. He was also predeceased by his brother, Donald E. Winchell Jr. Kevin was born in Hartford, April 7, 1972 and graduated from Manchester High School Class of 1990. He attended Manchester Community College and was in the culinary program for two years. He had been a resident of Manchester for most of his life. He recently owned and operated with Cliff Tyler, K C's Lunch Box in Manchester, previously working as a chef at The Village of Buckland Court in South Windsor and also at The Arbors in Manchester. Kevin was the Pittsburg Steelers #1 fan. In addition to his mother, Kevin is survived by a sister, Dolores Deschenes and her husband, Michael of Florida, a niece, Jenn Winchell of Vernon, four nephews, Patrick Winchell and Jeremy Winchell both of Manchester, Shawn Deschenes and Ryan Deschenes both of Florida, a great-niece, Destiny Deschenes, a great-nephew, Devon Deschenes and several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at 10 am at St. Bridget Church 80 Main Street Manchester. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery, Manchester. Family and friends may call Monday, Oct. 17, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester.
