Kermit W. Kroll, 69, of Manchester, beloved husband of the late Joan (Breton) Pouliot Kroll died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 12, 2015. Kermit was born on September 29, 1945 in Hartford, son of the late Kermit Wayne Kroll and Elaine LaChapelle Kroll. He attended local schools and had been a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the US Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a computer analyst in the Comptroller's Office for the State of Connecticut and more recently was the bookkeeper for J.P. Engineering in Windsor. Kermit was an avid motorsports enthusiast and enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing golf and hiking. He was a member of the APA Pool League at World Championship Billiards in Manchester. Kerm was a kind and humble man who was always reliable and faithful to his responsibilities and he enjoyed his family and friends more than anything in the world. He is survived by his four stepchildren; Gisele Bozzi and her husband John of East Hampton, Diane Barto and her husband Bruce of Vernon, John Pouliot and his wife Susan of Windsor and Thomas Pouliot of Manchester and six grandchildren, Lauren, Erica, Steven, Kenny, Douglas and Austin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:30 am at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St. Manchester. Burial with military honors will follow in East Cemetery, Manchester. Calling hours will be on Friday, April 17th from 4:30-7:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Forest & Parks Association - 16 Meriden Rd.
