Kenneth "Ken" Michael Klass 69, of Newington, formerly of Manchester, passed away peacefully Wednesday July 19,2017. Kenneth was born in Lima, Ohio February 20, 1948, son of the late William J. Klass Sr. and Vernice Melvin Mort (Otten) and resided in Manchester for most of his life. After graduating from Bath High School in 1966, Ken joined the U.S. Air force and attended Presideo of Monterey Defense Language Institute becoming a Spanish Interpreter during the Vietnam War. He also attended the Ohio State University before moving to Connecticut. Ken began his career in the computer field at the State Department of Motor Vehicles. He moved on to various jobs in that field before retiring from Asea Brown Boveri of Windsor, Connecticut as a Senior Software Consultant. Ken loved playing his guitar, singing and entertaining his family and friends. He also loved computers, fishing and traveling. Ken is survived by his loving family, a daughter, Sarah Klass of East Windsor, a son, Kevin Klass of Manchester, two grandchildren, Austin St. Cyr, Lily Klass. Ken is also survived by the mother of his children Judy Narus. He also has a sister, Karen Lucke and her husband Dick of Harrod, OH, a brother, Joe Klass of Kenosha, WI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend Memorial Calling Hours on Sunday July 23, 2017 from 1-3 pm with military honors rendered at 2:45pm at Watkins Funeral Home 142 East Center Manchester Connecticut.
