Kenneth H. Cote, 81, of Manchester, beloved husband of Patricia A. (Sapita) Cote, died peacefully, Wednesday August 5, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. He was born February 18, 1934 in Presque Isle, ME., son of the late Hubert & Stella (Theriault) Cote, he attended local schools in Maine as well as in Canada. Ken was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and later became a machinist by trade and was the owner/operator of Cote Resharpening in Manchester and retired in 1999. He was an avid fisherman and loved to go to Parker's Brook in Connecticut and Moosehead Lake in Maine, he enjoyed playing horseshoes, restoring antique Fords and was especially proud of his "40 Ford Pickup" which was the winner of multiple cars shows that he attended. He was a member of the "Over the Hill Car Club" and "Carbs of Hartford". In addition to his loving wife he is survived by three daughters, Sue Ellen Smith of North Providence, RI., Michele Cote and Melanie Cote both of Manchester, he also leaves five grandchildren, Valerie Swope and her husband Brian, Kyle Riley, Jordyn Smith, Miles Cote, Ethan Forest, a great grandson Kaden Riley and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Daniel Cote and brother Roger Cote. The Cote family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff, especially Colleen, Donna and Mary of the Visiting Nurse and Health Services of Vernon for the wonderful care shone to Ken. Per Ken's wishes, funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
