Kenneth A. Brown

Kenneth Allan Brown, 60 of Eastford, formerly of Manchester, loving husband and best friend for 25 years of Mary R. (Horta) Brown, died in his sleep at home on Thursday morning, June 25, 2015.
Ken was born in Manchester on September 19, 1954, son of the late Frederick J. and Alice O. (Sokoloski) Brown. He was raised in Manchester, graduated from Manchester High School, and served in the US Air Force during the late 1970's. He then returned to Manchester and resided there before moving to Eastford in 2002. He has been employed by the UTC Aerospace Systems in Windsor Locks for the past thirty-six years.
With his wife, he is survived by four children, Jennifer Hernandez and her husband Erik of East Hartford, Nichole Brown of Hartford, and Ryan Brown of Ashford, Paige Burgess and her husband Jason of Ashford; eight grandchildren, Torie, Damani, Jordan, Olivia, Julian, Ayden, Brianna, and Roman; his great-grandson Jeremiah; two sisters and a brother, Linda Young and her husband Terry of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Lisa Pekala and her husband Walter of Ellington, Ronald Brown and his companion Kathy Wilkie of Manchester, and nephew Shannon Stratton along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be held Monday, June 29, at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester from 4 pm to 7 pm with Words of Remembrance at 7:00 PM.
