Kathy A. Gunn

Kathy A. (Klear) Gunn, 65, of Coventry, CT. and formerly of Kettering, OH., beloved wife of George "Chuck" Gunn, died peacefully, Friday June 26, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital with her family at her side. Kathy was born December 24, 1949 in Defiance, OH., daughter of the late Galen & Janice Klear. She has been a resident of Coventry for many years and retired June 1st of this year as a Diet Technician after many years at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Kathy enjoyed gardening, sailing, shopping, baking and reading but most of all she loved being a Mom. In addition to her loving husband she is survived by and was the loving mother of two sons, Douglas S. Gunn and Benjamin J. Gunn both of Coventry. She also leaves her sister Connie Harmon and her husband Allen, their daughters, Brooke and Drew all of Saluda, SC., and her mother-in-law Pearl Gunn of Tuftonboro, NH. Calling hours will be held Tuesday June 30, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester, CT. Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 41 Park St., Manchester. Burial will be private in the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree, MA.
