Kathleen "Kate" (Smith) Moule, 60, of Manchester, beloved wife of 12 years of Gary E. Moule died peacefully after an extended illness on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, surrounded by her family. Kate was born November 20, 1956 in Hartford daughter of the late Wilfred and Eleanor (Brace) Smith. She was self-employed as a home day care provider prior to her illness. Kate was a longtime member of the Manchester Church of Christ. Kate touched many lives through the years as a Day Care Provider, a mother, a wife, a sister, a friend. She truly cared for everyone. Kate always put the needs of others ahead of her own. Truly a woman with a heart of gold. If you were lucky enough to have met her, your life is forever blessed. In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by three sons; James E. Downing III and his wife Sandra Violette of E. Hartford, Richard E. Downing and his wife Jennifer of Coventry and Gary E. Moule Jr. of Manchester, two loving grandchildren Karly Downing and Cassity Kersetter, her brother Wilfred Smith and his wife Custodia of Coral Springs, FL, her two sisters Eveleen Smith of E. Hartford and Grace Waters of Seattle, WA. Other family members include her father-in-law Mynot Moule of E. Windsor her former mother-in-law Jean Downing of Manchester, her brother-in-law Brent Downing and his wife Dee of Manchester, three sisters-in-law Teri Miodonka and her husband Michael of Hampden, MA, Claire Downing of E. Greenwich, RI, and Sister Nancy Downing of New York City, numerous nieces, nephews and their families and many wonderful friends. Family and friends are welcome to attend a time of visitation on Sunday, July 9th from 5-7 pm at the Manchester Church of Christ, 595 Tolland Turnpike. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 10 at 11AM at the Manchester Church of Christ. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
