Kathleen (Lanagan) Matson, 72 of Manchester, CT, longtime resident of Manchester, died Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford.
She was born in Hartford on October 14, 1943, daughter of the late Ralph F. and Arlene T. (Stone) Lanagan. Prior to retiring, Kathleen was a victims advocate at Interval House in Hartford for over twenty five years. She loved the companionship of her dogs, and enjoyed the seashore and visiting lighthouses.
Kathleen is survived by three sons, Robert E. Matson, Jr. and his wife Camille DeRosa of Chestnut Ridge, NY, Scott Matson and his wife Marci of Shrewsbury, VT, and Jeffrey T. Matson and his wife Karen of Bolton, CT; her dear friend, Gail Evans; three sisters, Carol McNally and her husband Thomas of Tolland, CT, Patricia Peach of Malone, NY, and her twin sister, Maureen Tavaglione of Merritt Island, FL; her brother, John Lanagan and his wife Lynn of Andover, CT and several cherished nieces and nephews and their families.
Visiting hours are Saturday October 1, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a Prayer Service at 3:00pm at the Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main Street, Manchester. Burial will be private in St. Bridget Cemetery in Manchester.
