Judith A. Olsen 69 of South Windsor, formerly of Manchester, beloved wife of the late A. Harry W. Olsen Jr., passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 with her family at her side at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Judith and Harry had been married for 45 years prior to his passing on May 6, 2014. Judith was born December 9, 1946 in Manchester, daughter of the late Daniel O. and Helen (Mack) Newcomb. She was raised in Manchester, graduated from Manchester High School Class of 1964, went on to nursing school and earned her LPN in 1965 with her Nurse Capping. She was employed for several years at the Village of Buckland Court and previously employed at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Coventry, Aisha Temple No. 83 Daughters of The Nile, DAR Orford Parish-Pitkin Chapter, Red Hat Society and Sphinx Ladies. Judith is survived by her loving family, a son, William D. Olsen and his wife, Aimee of Coventry, a daughter, Amy Rovegno and her husband Howard of Manchester; her precious granddaughter, Brianna Rovegno and her beloved dog, Daisy. In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a brother, John Newcomb. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:30 AM at the Second Congregational Church 1746 Boston Turnpike, (Rts. 6 & 44) Coventry. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, Coventry. Calling hours will be Wednesday, June 22, from 4-8 pm at the Holmes Funeral Home 400 Main St. Manchester.
