Judith Ann Larson, 76 of Manchester, formerly of Main Street in Hartford and a resident of Manchester Manor died Sunday April 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford after an extended illness.
Judi was born in Hartford on August 31, 1940, one of two daughters of the late Francis W. and Josephine (Stewart) Larson. She graduated from Putnam Catholic Academy and earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Connecticut. Prior to retiring in 1996 she had been a computer training specialist for Aetna Insurance Company.
Judi traveled extensively in the U.S. and Europe. After retiring she became a travel agent, planning and coordinating trips for the Aetna Retiree's Club. She volunteered over one thousand hours at Hartford Hospital, was a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed playing cards with friends, was a fan of the UCONN Women's basketball and spent many enjoyable hours theorem painting.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Sharral Minior and her husband Daniel Minior of Bolton; a niece and two nephews that she was extremely proud of who were the joy of her life, Dr. Victoria Minior and her fianc David Rosenhaft, Dr. Daniel Minior and his wife Dr. Grace Minior, Dr. Devin Minior and his wife Heather Minior; one great niece and five great nephews, Eloddie Minior, Ori Divon, Noah Divon, Aidan Minior, Desi Minior, and Vitalie Minior.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22, at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 896 Main Street, Manchester with burial to follow in St. James Cemetery. (Please go directly to the church.) Visiting hours for family and friends are Friday, April 21, from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center Street, Manchester.
