Josephine Savacheck passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the age of 86. Born to Joseph and Katherine Harasimowitz, she attended local schools and graduated from Bacon Academy in 1958.

She met and married Michael Savacheck while working at the United Technologies Leadership Center. Upon retirement, she and Mike traveled across the country to the National Parks several times. International travel took her to Poland, South Korea, England, France, Scotland and San Maartin.

“Jo” was always surrounded by cats, books and crossword puzzles, enjoying frequent girlfriend lunches and family visits. Loved Elvis and the music of the ‘50’s and ‘60’s.

“Jo” leaves her son Joseph Mankowski and wife Aisyah, daughter Dayna Mankowski, son in law Steve (Stephen) Ditter, her sister Wanda Stula and brothers Anthony Harasimowitz and Edward Harasimowitz and wife Betty Russ, Sisters in law Irene Harasimowitz, Cynthia Mankowski and Carolyn Peterson, granddaughter Fatimah Kinlaw and great grandsons Noah and Niall Kinlaw. She is predeceased by her husband Michael J Savacheck and her brother Stanley Harasimowitz.

The family will receive friends from 9 AM to 10:30 AM on Friday, July 31st at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home 400 Main Street, Manchester, CT. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11 AM at St. Bridget Church 80 Main Street in Manchester. Burial will take place in the St. Bridget Cemetery.
